Two students will scholarships for state Student Council camp in Fulton
Morgan Bledsoe, eighth grade student at Mexico Middle School, and Dylan Goodman, ninth grader at Mexico High School, have been awarded scholarships to the Missouri Association of Student Council Leadership Camp.
Three new administrators hired by district
Three new administrators have been hired in the Mexico Public School district. There will be a meet-and-greet reception for the public to meet the administrators beginning at 6 p.m. before the Board of Education meeting Tuesday, May 21.
36 Fifth Graders earn Presidential Awards
Fifth graders from the three elementary schools of the Mexico School district who qualified for the President's Award for Educational Excellence were honored May 6 at Hawthorne Elementary School.
Middle School students place in national yearbook competition
Three members of the Middle School yearbook staff earned four awards in the national Journalism Education Association Middle School competition. Also, the yearbook was recently featured in the Jostens Yearbook Company's "Look Book."
Hart Career Center students compete at state FBLA contest
Two Hart Career Center students competed in the state Future Business Leaders of America Leadership contest April 21-23 in Columbia. Jared Melton was a participant in Computer Problem Solving and Sean Kelly participated in the preliminary round for Business Presentation.
