Supt Candidate Forum

January 14, 2020

Mexico 59 Faculty & Staff:

The Board of Education continues the Mexico School District Superintendent Search with the guidance and assistance of the Missouri Association of Rural Educators (MARE). We hope to have the search narrowed to three candidates in early February.

The Board will reach out to the final candidates and each will be invited a Candidate Meeting Forum. Assuming three finalists, these forums will be held on February 6, 7, and 10 in the Mexico High School cafeteria from 4:00-5:00 p.m. At his or her forum, each candidate will offer a short introduction and be prepared to answer questions from faculty and staff. Based on the candidate’s answers to the staff questions, attending individuals will have an opportunity to fill out an online observation survey on site to determine the candidate’s top three advantages and three potential challenges that the candidate may face. The online observation survey is intended to be a reactive document based on the presentation, and not a personal prioritization independent of the candidate. These anonymous online observation survey results will be shared with the Board of Education.

Seeking a leader for our school is an important task. The Board would appreciate attendance and participation from faculty and staff in the Candidate Observation Forums to help guide our district to the best fit for the Mexico 59 Superintendent. Thanks for all you do to ensure teaching, learning, and caring each day in our school!
Sincerely,

Dustin Pascoe, President
And the Mexico 59 Board of Education
