21-22 Activities Wrap Up
By: Brandon Schafer

As the 2021-2022 school year comes to an end, we bid farewell to our Mexico High School athletic year, which saw many successes, both on the field/court and in the classroom.
The Mexico High School athletic programs provided opportunities for 305 students, in a variety of sports. These 305 students earned an overall GPA of 3.19 and 12 students earned Academic All-State. These students demonstrated that not only were they successful under the lights, but also focused on their academics.
The 21-22 year brought us 2 district championships and 2 North Central Missouri Conference championships, giving the community entertainment year round, as many sports were playing late into their seasons!
Along with these team successes our student-athletes were individually gifted at their respective sports, demonstrated by our 26 All-State athletes, 21 State qualifying athletes, and 93 All-NCMC athletes.
The 2021-2022 year was one with many successes, and as we see our 64 senior athletes ride off into the sunset, we can be reminded every day, as we drive by our beautiful facilities, that we have even more athletes ready to create their legacy on Mexico High School athletics.
