Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog!
By:  Jessica Stephens, MHS Class of 2023

“Be true to your school.  Just like you would to your girl or guy.  Be true to your school now.  Let your colors fly.  Be true to your school.”  These lyrics are from a song the Beach Boys did decades ago, but still pertain to the pride we have in our schools and teams today.  What you put into your school experience is what you will get out of your school experience.

What does it mean to be a Bulldog? A million things come to mind. The first ones include being proud, excited, and willing to help our community. From having a supportive Dawg Pound at sporting events to being eager to learn new things and always ready to give back to the place that deserves all of the credit. There is no better place to see Bulldog pride than underneath the Friday night lights at a football game or at a basketball game where young and old Bulldogs come together to fill the stands.

Being a Bulldog means caring for others, accepting adversity, and being devoted to helping those who have helped us get to where we are today. No matter what sport, club, activity, or other extracurricular activity we are a part of, we are all Bulldogs. Being a Bulldog means having school spirit and feeling enthusiastic about going to school here. Your Bulldog experience is only as good as YOU make it.

Being a Bulldog is essential to me because it has made me the person I am today. Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog.
