2020-2021 Caring Comeback Plan
As a community, we are facing a global pandemic never before seen in any of our lifetimes. The impact on our school family has been significant. Unfortunately, we are uncertain what each day will bring so we are making the best decisions for the moment with guidance from state, local, and national health and science experts.

The top priority for the Mexico School District remains the education of our students. Additionally, we recognize the importance of implementing reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students, employees, and community members.

We envision this plan as a fluid document, changing as the circumstances dictate. Please continue to check this website for more information.

covid19 update

Link for all communications sent to parents regarding COVID-19 and Mexico School District.

Although the spread of COVID-19 appears to have started in China, it is important to remember that the coronavirus is not connected to any race, ethnicity, or nationality. At Mexico School District, we will not make assumptions about a student’s or staff member’s risk of illness based on any of these factors. Misinformation about coronavirus can create fear and hostility that harms people and makes it harder to keep everyone healthy.

The health and safety of our students and staff is paramount, and we are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19.

We continue to receive updates from the Audrain County Health Department, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), the CDC, and other local agencies to make informed decisions in the days ahead.
