HCC Instructor to serve on state cosmetology and barber board

December 9, 2025 – We are excited to celebrate Hart Career Center cosmetology instructor Cameron Christoffer, who has been appointed by Governor Mike Kehoe to the Missouri Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners.
Christoffer is in his fourth year teaching cosmetology at HCC, where he shares his passion for the industry with students every day. In addition to his role in the classroom, he brings more than 15 years of experience as a professional hairstylist at Cam’s Cut and Curl and holds a bachelor’s degree in education and training from the University of Central Missouri.
Christoffer is excited about the appointment, hoping to use it as a way to advocate for career center programs. His involvement with the National Interstate Council of Cosmetology (NIC) pushed his interest in the state board.
“When you are passionate about your work it speaks volumes. I really wanted to be on the board to be a voice for career centers,” Christoffer shared.
He plans to contribute his industry knowledge to help maintain strong sanitation standards and shape the future of cosmetology and barbering across Missouri.
Please join us in congratulating him on this well-deserved honor!
