Changes to 2022-2023 School Meal Program:
MPS families with incoming 10th, 11th, & 12th graders for the 2022-2023 school year:
Currently, school lunches are free and will remain so through the end of the 2021-2022 school year. Beginning in the 2022-2023 school year, free and reduced-priced meals will only be available for eligible families with approved applications. Applications submitted and approved before the end of this school year will be granted a 30-day grace period at the start of the 2022-2023 school year, allowing those families with 10th, 11th, & 12th grade students to continue to receive free and reduced meals without interruption while an updated application is submitted for the new school year. The incoming 9th graders are covered for the first 30 days of school because they are under the free program as 8th graders. Parents of incoming 9th-12th graders will need to fill out a Free & Reduced Application for the 2022-2023 school year when it becomes available in July. For the 2022-2023 school year, meals for students Pre-K - 8th grade will remain free. If you have any questions, please call 573-581-3773, ext 2406.
If you have not already done so, please submit a Free and Reduced Meals application by May 24th, 2022 to get the 30-day grace period at the beginning of the school year linked here:
